“Hello! I’m Grace Gurney, a somatic therapist who is passionate about helping people grow and find empowerment. I believe every one of us has fire
A Little About Me: I am currently an Master’s Candidate for the Somatic Counseling: Body Psychotherapy program at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. I have a strong background in working with the queer community, creatives, and athletes. I understand the unique challenges and joys that come with these identities, and I’m here to support you on your path to personal growth.
Empathy: I create a safe and understanding space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.
Collaboration: Together, we’ll set goals and work as a team to achieve them. Your input and insights are highly valued.
Discipline: Meaningful change requires dedication and discipline. I’ll help you stay focused on your path to healing and personal growth.
Empowerment: My ultimate goal is to empower you to take control of your life, find your inner strength, and fully thrive in your life.
As a somatic therapist, I’ll work with you to:
Identify physical sensations connected to your thoughts and patterns.
Become more familiar with these sensations.
Use a combination of talk therapy and subtle-movement therapy to create lasting change in your brain and nervous system.
If you’re looking for a therapist who combines empathy, compassion, directness, and somatic therapy techniques, and who has experience working with the queer community, creatives, and athletes, then I’m here for you. Let’s work together to help you create the life you want.”
